Bathrooms aren’t usually the place you welcome visitors to, but we friends, right?! 😂
Let’s start with the prettiest little girl bathroom for Sevi. If I had this bathroom as a little girl, I feel like I would have just died and gone to heaven! {You will notice I really love using wallpaper in the bathrooms. It just adds so much character and fun!}
Creating a beautiful space for Sevi was so much fun! I wanted to make sure it was girly, but a room she could also grow into as she got bigger. Pretty pinks mixed with blues, golds and white of course, with a historically inspired feel was my vision. {Sevi doesn’t really need that sweet little stool in the photo anymore, but it’s just so cute.}
I was so happy when I found this perfectly vintage wallpaper. Sadly, it was discontinued shortly after putting it up, but you can find a similar pattern here! I decided to use it on the accent wall behind her bed and carry it into the bathroom above the bead board. If you don’t want to install full bead board, you could try this paintable bead board wallpaper. {Pretty amazing find!} The marble topped sink makes the whole space feel so fancy, especially with the gold accented scones and faucet.
Pro-tip if you’re building or plan to build. You can almost always buy remnants from the remnant section of your stone shop for these bathroom vanities and its a fraction of the cost.
Aren’t the sconces so cute? Here’s a similar faucet to the one I used as well. Mark was a plumber in his former career so he did some extra steps to mount the faucet to the wall above the sink.
One of my favorite things that I carried over into all of our bathrooms, is our porcelain door knobs. They really are stunning in person and pull it all together!
If you recall, a couple weeks ago on the house tour, I shared all the details on our Master Bathroom. {You can check that out here!} I love our Master Retreat-a true vision come to life!
The half bath is one of my favorite spaces. I feel like it truly looks like it belongs in an older home. Don’t you love the sweet vintage sink?? I picked this sink up for around $50 at a salvage yard and had it refinished for the space. {You can find similar ones here and here.}
I added the unlacquered brass faucet with cross handles and a pretty sink curtain to cover the pipes. Mark plumbed this as well and the sink trap is actually beautiful & also brass. He does not appreciate my covering it up (haha). I may uncover it one day. I did a similar trick in the kitchen with the curtains in the Carolina Cottage. {Similar faucet and handles here.}
Again, you will notice I used use bead board (my childhood home was covered in bead board so don’t judge how much I love it!} And, while it looks like I did wallpaper above the boards, I actually used a stencil in this room! This stencil was much easier than I thought and I just love it!
Over time, I have added cute details, even found a brass toilet brush! The little towel hanger is a metal hay hook from Walmart, if you can believe it. I did my under the sink curtain trick again that I love. And, of course, porcelain door knobs to finish it up!
I often get asked what we do about the cold and hot water spigots and Mark (being the amazing plumber he is) came up with a brilliant solution to make this sink more practical. He installed a mixing valve under our house that would feed this sink. So, whenever you turn the water on (no matter which side), the water comes out warm. Isn’t that so smart?!
If you are new around here, you may not know that my husband and I bought a brand new motorhome a few years ago and we love it. The best {crazy} part is we completely renovated the inside! We looked and looked for used and could never find one!
I never thought I would love our Motorhome as much as I do, but it makes traveling as a family so much more comfortable and fun. I had so much fun making our RV look more like “us.” Below is a little peek inside. You can read all about the updates here.
Moving on to the teeny RV bathroom updates. The space is pretty tight and four people are using it on the road, so it needed to be functional, but also cute. I found the prettiest wallpaper and immediately knew it was meant for this little space.
I love a good scallop {and of course, wood wall treatments-ha!} so adding them both was a no brainer. For this room, I actually used the sharpie method to create a paneled look on the bottom half (so easy) and the scalloped pieces (which you can buy pre-cut). Isn’t the mirror stunning? Here’s is the one I used and its actually on sale right now!
The sink is so cute! I’m always extra thankful for Mark’s plumbing skills, especially since it takes him no time at all to swap out faucets and sinks. {Probably, because he started plumbing when he was just 14 years old!} Adding that sweet brass faucet makes the RV look more custom.
One of the tricky things in Motorhomes is the lighting. You can’t really swap out light fixtures. After seeing one of my buddies do this, I decided to just cut a hole in these scalloped baskets and hang them around the lighting. You would never know they were baskets! Isn’t that brilliant? I wish I could claim it as my own idea.
Storage and being able to keep things secure and off the floor is another challenge in Motorhomes, so I did a lot of research. Installing this cute toilet paper holder, slim trash can, hanging toothbrush holder, and wall hooks (I painted to match of course), have been great additions.
I couldn’t resist 😆 Who knew renovating and designing bathroom spaces would be so much fun! While “bathroom talk” isn’t generally the most popular conversation, it’s part of life. We all gotta spend some time in there so might as well make it pretty, right?
Which bathroom did you like the most?

I love your decorating style. Your new “old” home reminds me of the 120 yr old farm house I grew up in. Every room, walls and ceilings, were bead board. Sevi’s bathroom is so pretty. It’s call beautiful. I strive to build one day and incorporate old farm house. It’s home, it’s comfortable, it’s inviting.

Sevi’s bathroom, only because I love the colors most. However, my daughter bought a camper, and order and installed the same scalloped trim in her bathroom. Above the trim, she stenciled with the same petitie vintage stencil you used in your bathroom. 🙂
Ah that’s awesome! I hope she is loving it!
Love everything about the bathrooms especially Sevi’s!!!
