I was raised in and still reside in a small town of South Carolina. My husband and I built our home on a nature preserved lake, close to the mountains and the beach. It's the best of both worlds. My children love to explore in nature and swim in the lake.

I’ve had a passion for creating for as long as I can remember. Some of my earliest memories as a child are creating little pots from the creek clay. I really enjoy the creative process and I have dabbled in self-taught art my entire life. As long as I’m creating or working on a project, I’m a happy gal.

Thank you for hanging out with me here. There are so many places on the web that you could be, but you’re here! Thank you for that.

I'm Brittany

I grew up in older homes and although I didn’t appreciate it back then, that is where my deep love of historical architecture and style stems from. My husband and I built a new “old” home in 2018. And side note, there is a great story here. We started dating when I was 17 and even back then, we used to have conversations about the home we wanted to live in together. Of course, I wanted something old that we could restore to its former glory, but my husband doesn’t share my love of all things historic and old. So, we compromised. He promised me as teenagers that one day, he would build me a “new, “old” home.” I still cannot believe that innocent promise came true all these years later. So, naturally all of my inspiration for this home comes from historic architecture and design. It has that old house character and charm that I love, but new in all the areas where it counts.
