I was raised in and still reside in a small town of South Carolina. My husband and I built our home on a nature preserved lake, close to the mountains and the beach. It's the best of both worlds. My children love to explore in nature and swim in the lake.
I’ve had a passion for creating for as long as I can remember. Some of my earliest memories as a child are creating little pots from the creek clay. I really enjoy the creative process and I have dabbled in self-taught art my entire life. As long as I’m creating or working on a project, I’m a happy gal.
Thank you for hanging out with me here. There are so many places on the web that you could be, but you’re here! Thank you for that.
I grew up in older homes and although I didn’t appreciate it as much then, that is where my deep love of historical architecture began. My husband and I started dating when I was 17 years old and even back then, we used to have conversations about the home we wanted to live in together. I wanted something old that we could restore together, but my husband doesn’t share my love of all things historic and old. So, we compromised. As teenagers, he promised that one day he would build me a “new, old” home. And in 2018, he made that promise our reality. All these years later, a promise kept that still feels like a dream. All of my inspiration for our home comes from historic architecture and the homes I was raised in. It has that old house character and charm that I love, but new in all the areas where it counts.
We all have a circle of influence, whether we realize it or not
